B) TYPOLOGY, PURPOSE AND OPERATION OF COOKIES
C) HOW TO DISABLE COOKIES IN MAJOR BROWSERS
D) WHAT HAPPENS IF COOKIES ARE DISABLED?
A) USE OF COOKIES:
REGAS.ORG uses ¨Cookies¨, and other similar mechanisms (from now on, Cookies). Cookies are files sent to a browser by a web server to register the User's activities on a specific website (from now on, the Services). The first purpose of the Cookies is to facilitate the User's faster access to the selected Services. In addition, the Cookies personalize the Services, facilitating and offering each User information that is of interest to him or her or that may be of interest to him or her, based on the use that he or she makes of the Services.
Cookies are used to personalize and facilitate the navigation of the User to the maximum. The Cookies are only associated with an anonymous User and his/her computer and do not provide references that allow the User's personal data to be deduced. The User may configure his/her browser to notify and reject the installation of the Cookies sent, without this affecting the User's ability to access the Content. However, we would like to point out that; in any case, the quality of the operation of the Web page may be diminished.
B) TYPE, PURPOSE AND OPERATION OF THE COOKIES:
Cookies, depending on their permanence, can be divided into session or permanent cookies. The former expire when the User closes the browser. The latter expire depending on whether the objective for which they are used is met or whether they are deleted manually.
Additionally, depending on their purpose, Cookies can be classified as follows:
PERFORMANCE COOKIES: This type of Cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found in the Services, so you do not have to reconfigure the service each time you visit. By way of example, this type of Cookie includes:
- Video or sound player volume settings.
- Video transmission speeds that are compatible with your browser.
- Items saved in the "shopping cart" in E-commerce Services such as stores.
GEO-LOCATION COOKIES: These Cookies are used to find out which country you are in when you request a Service. This Cookie is completely anonymous, and is only used to help target content to your location.
REGISTRATION COOKIES: Registration Cookies are generated once the User has registered or subsequently logged in, and are used to identify you in the Services for the following purposes:
To keep the User identified so that, if he closes a Service, the browser or the computer and at another time or another day he re-enters that Service, he will continue to be identified, thus facilitating his navigation without having to identify himself again. This functionality can be deleted if the User clicks on the "close session" functionality, so that this Cookie is deleted and the next time the User enters the Service he/she will have to log in to be identified.
Check if the User is authorized to access certain Services.
Additionally, some Services may use social network connectors such as Facebook or Twitter. When the User registers with a Service with social network credentials, he or she authorizes the social network to store a persistent Cookie that remembers his or her identity and grants him or her access to the Services until it expires. The User may delete this Cookie and revoke access to the Services via social networks by updating their preferences on the social network they specify.
ANALYTICAL COOKIES: Each time a User visits a Service, a tool from an external provider (Prestashop, etc.) generates an analytical Cookie on the User's computer. This Cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will be used in future visits to the Services to identify the visitor anonymously. The main objectives are:
To allow the anonymous identification of browsing Users through the "Cookie" (it identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate counting of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
Identify anonymously the most visited contents and therefore more attractive for the Users
To know if the User who is accessing is new or repeats a visit.
Important: Unless the User decides to register for a Service, the Cookie will never be associated with any personal data that can identify him/her. These Cookies will only be used for statistical purposes to help optimize the User's experience on the site.
C) HOW TO DISABLE COOKIES IN THE MAIN BROWSERS
It is normally possible to stop accepting Cookies from your browser, or to stop accepting Cookies from your computer.
